What we're talking about here is the survival of humanity and many of the other lifeforms on this planet as we know it - and we have a relatively short window to ensure that survival. I think the way we're going to do it is through solidarity with one another and the other lifeforms on the planet - not with an 'armed lifeboat' attempt to fight for survival by ourselves. That will only lead to social dysfunction, violence and breakdown.
