A better world to win: Notes on the fight against fossil capitalism.

The United States is going to become a kind of rogue regime. We're going to have the only political leader on the global stage who is an avowed climate change denier. And so we need to call for sanctions against our country the same way anti-Apartheid activists in South Africa called for sanctions against the Apartheid regime.

Author Ashley Dawson places Donald Trump's energy policies and appointments in the larger context of a global right wing resurgence fueled by fossil capitalism's last gasp, and calls for widespread resistance on the local and international level against carbon, against capitalism, and the forces the profit from both.

Ashley is author of Extinction: A Radical History, he recently wrote Trump Eats the Planet for the Verso blog.
