"The Night Won't End" in Gaza / Kavitha Chekuru

Damage in gaza strip during the october 2023 15

At this point, particularly when it comes to Gaza, media organizations should not be accepting embeds. It's disgusting, frankly. It’s become clear that CNN won't release anything related to the reporting on the occupied territories in Gaza unless it's cleared through the Jerusalem Bureau, the Israeli government, and the Israeli military…It's really bizarre to me that media organizations just accept this idea that they just have to agree to a military, and whether it's Israeli military or US military, media organizations shouldn't be accepting these kind of restrictions from governments. It's absurd.

Recent guest Kavitha Chukuru of Al Jazeera returns to talk about her new Fault Lines documentary, 'The Night Won’t End," the product of Al Jazeera’s longstanding commitment to on-the-ground reporting inside Gaza. It was made possible by the work of brave journalists who worked for weeks in harrowing conditions to tell the story of three families who lived through horrific experiences and have been struggling to survive inside Gaza.
