In 1989, liberals kind of ran a victory lap liberalism without understanding that the Cold War ended because both capitalist and communist regimes had committed to neoliberalism and liberal's response was just to embrace neoliberalism again…I think the Democrats are realizing that they made an immense mistake in 1989. And the question is, ‘What does it take to undo it?’
