If you actually put all your time and attention on actually driving COVID underneath its rate of replacement, then we would have been out of this much earlier. There was no effort. When we speak about vaccines as being the tool by which we control the outbreak, but then there was all this effort led by Bill Gates and largely supported by pharmaceutical industry he was representing to basically make sure that vaccines weren't made available to the rest of the world. I mean if you're saying vaccination is the tool by which you're trying to stop this outbreak, and then make sure most of the world can't get access to it, then what are you saying? You're not interested in actually stopping the outbreak, it returns to where we started, and that is, some things are more important than the health and well being of the world's population, and that is, Capitalism is treated as realer than the ecologies and epidemiologies it depends on.

Agroecologist and epidemiologist Rob Wallace returns to This is Hell! to discuss his new book, "The Fault in our SARS, COVID-19 in the Biden Era"
