Future creep: On economy, society and our shiny new barbarism.

We see you on every screen, high in the spectacle, glorying in your masturbatory conspicuous consumption, eating our children's bread, buying islands with our firefighters' retirement accounts, poisoning our land with your long-lasting batteries, enhancing your overtaxed sex organs with our health care dollars. This is neither new nor ginned up. This is the age-old divine-right-of-kings formula for exploitation. It's retro-greed in retro-regalia.

In a forward-looking Moment of Truth, Jeff Dorchen beholds the inequalities of the past, present, and he's pretty sure future, and finds them looking suspiciously similar, despite the assurances otherwise from today's crowd of billionaire tech creeps at their billionaire tech creep festival.
