How the Tax Code Made an American Aristocracy / Ray Madoff

Le gou ter dans le parc paris

You've got $50 trillion, you should be participating in the system the same as regular working Americans. I think it would be better just to bring the richest Americans into our regular income tax system, the way that all other Americans are in it, rather than coming up with special taxes that we say are specifically geared to the rich.

Legal scholar Ray Madoff joins us to discuss her new book from the University of Chicago Press, "The Second Estate: How the Tax Code Made an American Aristocracy." "The Moment of Truth" with Jeff Dorchen follows the interview.
