Bombing Gaza Isn't Fighting Sexual Violence / Heidi Matthews & Tanya Serisier

As of 26 10 7028 killed in gaza including 2913 children a million made homeless 53289094234 1536x1024

We pay attention more to sexual violence that happens in a very kind of spectacular way, like October the 7th. But one of the things that we don't pay a lot of attention to is that in situations of ongoing occupation, siege, like we see in Gaza, sexual violence is actually endemic. It's part of people's day to day lives, particularly women. If you talk to Palestinians, they talk about sexual violence at checkpoints. They talk about sexual violence in Israeli detention. And this happened before October the 7th.

Joining us today in Hell are Heidi Matthews and Tanya Serisier, who co-wrote the CounterPunch article, "Bombing Gaza Isn’t Fighting Sexual Violence." A Moment of Truth with Jeff Dorchen follows the interview.
