Inside the Mind of an "Ecoterrorist" / Christopher Ketcham

I think that his unlearning of mindlessness drove him a little crazy because he started thinking really deeply about his embeddedness in the industrial system and what that means…about his complicity in an extremely destructive enterprise. And he felt very deeply, with a profound emotion about seeing ecosystems, especially in the American West, that he loved being altered negatively by climate change, by road building, oil and gas drilling, mining for gold, overgrazing by livestock, and so on and so forth. All the glorious stuff of the mega machine.

Christopher Ketcham on his Harper's Magazine article, "The Machine Breaker: Inside the mind of an ‘ecoterrorist’." Then a Past Inside the Present with Sebastian Wuepper.
