Apr 1 2021
We are talking about a system that regards the entire planet - the planet, its atmosphere, the minerals beneath it, the oceans, all the life in the oceans, all the life on land - as potential commodities, as resources that must be exploited in order to raise capital for the exploitation of further resources. It envisions this infinite chain of turning the material world, and the immaterial world, into commodities which can then be the source of further growth.

Writer Ben Ehrenreich on disaster of mainstream climate advocacy and ruling class innaction in the face of catastrophic climate change, capitalism's suicidal framework of constant growth and exploitation, and his article We're Hurtling Toward Global Suicide for The New Republic.
