There is another path: Towards a universal feminism.

Mar 30 2019
We don't have any certainty that by getting rid of capitalism, we will be free as women, as queer people, as LGBT people... But what we know is if we do not get rid of capitalism, we certainly will not be free. What will happen is just an elite of women and LGBT people will have access to opportunities, emancipation and empowerment, while the large mass will be left behind. We need a feminist movement that tackles not only sexism, but the internal relation between sexism, capitalism and racism.

Philosopher Cinzia Arruzza examines the anticapitalist, eco-socialist and antiracist reach of a feminist for all - reclaiming the liberatory potential of feminist politics from the narrowing frame of neoliberalism, and presenting a broad path towards liberation from the oppressive hands of capitalism and patriarchy.

Cinzia is co-author of Feminism for the 99%: A Manifesto from Verso.
